Field Stone Winery & Vineyards was founded in 1977, with its own celebrated estate vineyards dating back to 1894. This wine is from the celebrated Alexander Valley. The winery says that "Selective hand blending of the distinctive personality traits in our individual vineyard cuvees has enabled us to craft a wine with a bright, full fruit expression matched to subtle oak and supple, forgiving tannins". This wine tastes of dark red fruits and spice. It is good with roast beef, semi-firm flavorful cheeses (like Cheddar, Swiss, and Fontina), and Veal chops.

The 2003 vintage is a very good Cab. It has a great nose with a well balanced taste. I would highly recommend this wine to any Cab fans.
